Message ABS can get you killed in snowy conditions every day of the week.

When I lived in Pennsylvania I used the "jab -the-brakes-then-turn-and-release" technique many times and it saved my ass.
It's a well-known technique that is simple and gives you an option to readjust your trajectory in certain conditions.

Unfortunately, that doesn't work with ABS, at all.
Instead of allowing the tires to build snow in front of them to "step on", the brakes continually release pressure until you plow something.
Got into an accident once because of it and almost another if a curb hadn't stopped me.

I hate ABS, it's an excuse for people to not have to learn how to drive their vehicles extensively.... but to each their own.
